Personal Biography

Jerry Upton is a long time resident of the State of California. After high school he served four years in the Navy, where he was an electronics technician. Before beginning his real estate career, he attended Merritt College in Oakland where he completed his Associate of Arts Degree in Math and Science. He then attended the University of California in Berkeley where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology. Later Jerry enrolled in the Graduate School of Management at the University of California in Davis where he earned his Master of Business Administration degree. Additionally he has taken numerous courses in business, taxation, law, psychology, and computers as well as real estate.

Jerry has had many years of involvement in the real estate community, and has served as Chairman of numerous committees. When he is not busy selling real estate and making real estate loans he enjoys consulting to major corporations as well as small businesses. His favorite activity is analyzing; creating and developing original and innovative solutions to problems to improve existing systems, products or services.

Outside of his intellectual interests, he enjoys watching sports, such as volleyball, basketball, and soccer. March madness is always a favorite, both women’s and men’s basketball. He enjoys traveling, taking local day trips as well as cruises and longer trips. Hawaii, Caribbean islands, and Lake Tahoe are favorites.

How to make moving and saying goodbye fun.

Have a party for the specific purpose of saying goodbye to your friends and neighbours. Hold it a month or two before your actual move. Make this a strictly informal time with an atmosphere that's warm and friendly. This will probably be an emotional time, but it also helps you realize these people will remain your friends, even though you will be separated by distance.
